FedEx rolled out Saturday delivery for no extra charge as part of the regular fulfillment of FedEx One Rate shipments in order to increase competitiveness. You do not need to indicate that you want “Saturday Delivery” as a service option when using One Rate to have packages arrive on Saturday for One Rate.
Amazon’s Buy Shipping program was previously unaware of this option and did not allow you to make use of this lower-cost shipping option when shipping out packages for Seller-Fulfilled Prime orders on a Thursday or Friday which were due by Saturday. Amazon would force the use of more expensive shipping options from FedEx, UPS, or other carriers.
Now, Amazon has recently enabled FedEx One Rate (Saturday) support to their Amazon Buy Shipping program enabling seamless use of FedEx One Rate for Saturday delivery naturally as part of the shipping options FedEx returns.
